Job Type: Part-time
Hours: 24 hours per week

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating CNC Milling machines.

This role involves producing precision components and ensuring high-quality standards are met throughout the production process. The CNC Miller will work closely with engineering and production teams to assemble parts and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties:

  • Operate CNC Milling machines to produce components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models, utilising SolidWorks as necessary.
  • Set up tooling and fixtures for machining processes, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform quality checks on finished products using basic maths for measurements and tolerances.
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble components, ensuring accuracy in fabrication.
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance as required.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the training of new staff members on CNC operations and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a CNC Miller or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in Heidenhein software is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in CADCAM software is highly desirable.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Experience in warehouse operations or assembly processes is beneficial.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Working Days – Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.
  • Working Hours – 06.00am – 14.30pm.

Plastic Fabrication

Plastic Fabricators | Hebburn (Tyne & Wear) NE31 1UB
Job Type: Full-time
Closing Date: Friday 31st January 2025

We are looking for fabricators with experience of plastic or metal sheet fabrication to join an experienced, successful plastic fabrication manufacturing unit.

You will work only day shifts, as part of a small (but expanding) team on a wide range of products from smaller units for the pharmaceutical industry to large engine bodies.

As the team continues to deliver on a healthy order book and works towards BSI certification, we are looking for people who take pride in their work and want to be part of our exciting plans for growth.

The Role:

  • You will work as part of a small fabricating team and your duties will include:
  • Knowledge of hand tools and plastics to fabricate units following a job sheet.
  • Inspecting materials and parts to ensure high standards maintained.
  • Reading engineering drawings to design fabrication solutions for various customers check the feasibility of designs and the expected waiting time for such products.
  • Suggest improvements in fabrication methods to enable customers to receive a better more efficient service.
  • Monitor the quality of work throughout the process and correct any defects immediately.
  • Work closely as a team to ensure all equipment is maintained and all health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times.

Key Experience:

  • Experience in operating hand tools and working with plastic fabrication.
  • Hot air and extrusion welding.
  • Gluing/bonding/fabrication of goods.
  • Ability to work to drawings and follow job sheets.
  • General fabrication knowledge and experience.
  • Must be able to work off own initiative with little supervision and as part of a team.

Role Would Suit:

  • Takes pride in the work they do and can demonstrate excellent attention to detail skills.
  • Has extensive experience working in a hands on role.
  • Has knowledge of manufacturing and assembly of different types of plastic.
  • Works well both in a team and independently.

Job Type:

  • Permanent.
  • Pay: £11.67- £13.19 per hour.
